Frederick W. Trumpler, III, of Ridgefield, formerly of New Canaan, passed away on January 8, 2009. He was born on July 9, 1936 to the late Frederick W., II and Louise Belli Trumpler in New York, NY. He was a graduate of Suny Maritime College at Fort Schuyler and earned his masters degree from New York University. He was a navigator for the USS Rushmore as a 2nd Lieutenant. Mr. Trumpler was vice president and general manager of marketing for Satellite Business Systems in Stamford. He also volunteered as head coach of New Canaan YMCA Boys Basketball Allstar Travel Team from 1977-1991. He was a beloved Father, Grandpa, Friend and Coach. He is survived by two sons, Frederick W. Trumpler, IV (Susan) of Milford, CT, and David C. Trumpler of Deerfield Beach, Fl., a daughter, Missy Tancredi of Jupiter, FL., and four grandchildren, Sabrina, Gabrielle, Michael, and Alexia. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 11:00 am, at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan, CT 06840. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Horse and Hound Restaurant in Lewisboro, NY The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 2:00- 6:00pm at the Hoyt Funeral Home.
