NORWALK, CONN Michael Andreozzi, born on December 19, 1933 in New York City to Nancy and Salvatore Andreozzi, passed away peacefully at the Notre Dame Convalescent Home on November 20, 2011. Michael grew up in East Harlem and graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School before attending trade school to master his tool and die making skills. He joined the U.S. Navy and served proudly from 1952 to 1956 and was assigned to the USS Macon CV-132, a heavy cruiser ship. Upon his return home, Michael held various manufacturing positions until he joined the L & M Rabinowitz Company in New York City as Machine Shop Foreman where he worked until his retirement. Michael is survived by his loving wife Camille, his daughter Dina Marie Howe and her husband, James. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jillian Marie Howe and James Anthony Howe. He was a wonderful, kind and loving husband, father and grandfather and his family meant the world to him. He was a loyal NY Yankee fan and a good friend to all who knew him. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan from 4:00PM - 8:00PM. Michael's funeral will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in St. Jerome R.C. Church, 23 Half Mile Road, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Military Honors will follow the Mass, outside the entrance of the church. Interment will be held privately.
