Camille, please accept my heartfelt sympathies to you and your family in the passing of your dear husband and my friend, Mike.
As you know Mike and I go way back, prior to our first day of school. I enjoyed being with him throughout
elementary, junior high, high school and three months in boot camp at the U.S. Naval Training Center,
Bainbridge MD. Three of us joined the navy together and we were disappointed that we were separated after graduating boot camp.
Mike was well liked throughout his school years, I’m sure most students and teachers knew Mike well.
It didn’t stop there; it continued in boot camp, Mike was also a hit in our barracks. In 1990 at my first ship reunion I met a former shipmate from boot camp; he recognized me right away and just as quickly asked me “How is Mike?” When I said to him, wow after 38 years you still remember Mike, his answer……..how can anybody forget big Mike.
Mike was always a great friend who would do anything for you. Mike all your friends will miss you and at times, whether alone or at get-togethers, reminisce about the great times that were had by all.
My friend, my shipmate, rest in peace.
