Obituary of Philomena Cotoia
Philomena (Fanny) DiBarnaba Cotoia, 82, a lifelong resident of New Canaan, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Norwalk Hospital.
Born April 1, 1928 in New Canaan, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Concetta Gallo DiBarnaba.
Fanny was a member of St. Aloysius Church, Catholic Daughters of the America’s and Our Ladies Guild.
She is survived by her son Alfonse J. (Rick) Cotoia of Rhinebeck, NY, her daughter, Ann M. Cotoia of New Canaan, her granddaughter, Cassandra M. Cotoia of Hyde Park, NY and her grandson, Rocco J. Cotoia of Saratoga Springs, NY.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Rocco Cotoia, her son Rocky- Joe Cotoia and her brother, Anthony J. DiBarnaba.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan at 10:00 Am. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan.
The family will receive friends at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 4-8 PM.
