Philomena DiBarnaba Cotoia
Dear Ann
It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of your mother. Carroll and I wanted you to know that we are thinking of you. Though hard to find words to express one's thoughts and feelings at a time of mourning, we want you to know that we sympathize with you and have you in our prayers.
The death of a loved one, untimely or not, is an irreparable loss and it brings heartache and sadness. However, it can also be a time of joy, knowing that your mother lived a rich, full life here on earth and will now be joined with her husband and son and parents in heaven.
Mothers are special and we know Philomena as a very special person who had a loving relationship with her family. I remember recalling with my mother that great Julia Summers poem “A mother laughs our laughter, Sheds our tears, Returns our love, Fears our fears, She lives our joys, Cares our cares, And all our hopes and dreams she shares”
Although you will all miss your mother, you can take solace in knowing that her spirit is in all of you and that her legacy lives on in you, her son and her grandchildren.
We wish we had the opportunity to know her better, but we always enjoyed seeing her in Church and that wonderful warm smile that seemed to glow on her face. The people that knew her as a warm and wonderful person will remember Philomena.
We extend our deepest and sincere sympathy.
With warmest personal regards,
Carroll and Nick Yanicelli
