Obituary of Walter DeTour
Walter Thomas DeTour, 54, was born in Everett, Massachusetts to Ellen O’Hearn DeTour and Walter Frank DeTour. Walt and his wife Kathy moved to New Canaan in 1993 where they raised their three children. Walt died on Friday February 3rd doing what he loved most. He and his family are members of Stanwich Congregational Church in Greenwich. Walt was an Ambassador at Mount Snow Vermont, active in the New Canaan lacrosse community and was an executive at MetaSource in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is survived by wife Kathy, his children Tyler, Elizabeth, and Emily, his mother Ellen and his siblings Michele, Suzanne, Stephanie, and Marc. There will be a memorial service for Walt at Grace Farms in New Canaan on Friday, February 10th at 9AM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Walt DeTour Lacrosse Scholarship Fund at .
