Obituary of Donald Angeletti
Donald “Don” E. Angeletti, passed away in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, July 30th, 2013. He was born in Pompano Beach, Florida, on May 14th, 1946. He was the son of Primo and Murrel Goodlet Angeletti who preceded him in death.
Don was a graduate of Havre de Grace High School, Maryland. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964 and served in Viet Nam. Upon completion of his tour of duty he continued his education and graduated from Morgan State College in Maryland.
After moving to Florida he began employment at Florida Gas Transmission Company, and was later transferred to the Houston office where he was a senior gas controller until his retirement in December 2012.
In earlier years, Don was a member of The Statue of Liberty Foundation of Ellis Island, New York, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, D.C. In 1984, he was president of the BMW Motorcycle Club of Central Florida, and in 1998 was a member of the Friends of the Library Foundation in Humble, Texas. Don was an avid collector of model railroad trains and was a member of The Train Collectors Association. He and his wife traveled all over the country on steam trains attending railroad collector events.
Don is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia Totaro Angeletti; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and John Murphy, Pensacola, Florida; nephews Rodney Angeletti, Fallston, Maryland, and Ronnie and his wife, Sandra Angeletti, Nashua, New Hampshire, his Mother and Father-in-law Carmela and Patsy Totaro and brother-in-law Gary Totaro all of New Canaan , CT .He is also survived by grand nieces Trisha Baldwin and Audrianna Angeletti.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 6, 2013 at 10:00 Am in The Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan, CT 06840 with Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4 to 8 PM.
