Dear Cindy, Tracy and David,
I offer my condolences to you all. The news of your mother's passing filled me with shock and sadness. My mind flooded with half-century old memories of our times together: ice skating on your backyard pond; playing in your ornament-filled caboose; digging for clams at low tide in Cape Cod Bay. It seems like a lifetime ago. I guess it is.
My mother and Marsha kept up their friendship over the decades. I saw your mother a few times and was struck by her intelligence, wry humor and calm demeanor. If one distilled her qualities into a single word it would be "grace." I trust that you are celebrating the life of an accomplished and graceful woman.
Regards,
George Vos
