I was very sad to learn about the passing of Mark and extend my condolences to his family. I graduated from the Fuqua School of Business and joined Chase Manhattan Bank in 1982. I met Mark when I recruited him at Fuqua and hired him to join Chase. After Mark completed credit training at Chase he joined the Leveraged Financing / Merchant Banking team that I was on. During the years I worked with Mark I found him to be a great colleague and partner. He was very bright, hard working and diligent. He was my "right hand man" on several high risk, complex transactions and I grew to have complete trust in his keen intellect, strong analytical skills and judgement. Mark's integrity was unwavering. His great sense of humor and strong interpersonal skills were particularly appreciated during the long hours that many transactions required. I was blessed to know Mark and I hope this remembrance of my colleague and friend is of comfort to his family. Sincerely, Mark Malloy

Mark and I worked together for a number of years and shared many memorable occasions including a number on the golf course where his tenacity and competitiveness were clear to see. But my abiding memory of Mark is when we first met back in 2002. At that time I was interviewing candidates for a position in Bank of Ireland's fledgling business in Greenwich, CT. From the outset I was struck by Mark's intelligence, knowledge of the leveraged arena and most of all his appreciation for what we were trying to do and our risk appetite. I knew virtually straight away that he was the person we needed and importantly that he and I would work well together. Appointing him proved to be an inspired decision. We went on to build a successful and profitable business that continues to this day. Not only was Mark a great colleague but he and I also became good friends. I am deeply saddened by his passing and extend my sincere condolences to Carolyn, Erin and Holly and Mark's extended family. May he rest now. Pat MacBride Wicklow, Ireland
