Our Aunt Elinor was a very special woman. Although we lived quite a ways apart and didn't get to see her and the family as much as we'd have liked, it was always an "occasion" when we could get together. She spoiled her nieces and nephews, and we adored her. She was rather like a fairy Godmother, beautiful and kind. She always looked so lovely, and she loved to laugh. I remember going back to CT with the family, after they were in IL for a visit. I believe I was there for about 3 weeks. Uncle Howard took us all into NYC one Saturday to sight see. Aunt Elinor was so kind, explaining things a kid from central IL just didn't quite understand. I was so proud to be with all of them. Aunt Elinor drove Sharon and I all over New Canaan, pointing out the homes of the "rich and famous" and indulging us in special treats.
I have so many wonderful memories of her and Uncle Howard, Sharon, Pam and Jimmy. May warm memories of her be a comfort to all those who loved her so much.
