I didn't stay in touch with many New Canaan folks after high school so I just found out this year when asking a better connected friend what Ted was doing these days, because I'd been thinking about him lately. I'm absolutely heart broken, we were friends through high school and a couple years after, before losing touch when I left the north east. Talking to Ted always made me feel joyful, and he was always teaching me something. For 22 years I've thought of him literally every time Talking Heads comes on the radio. A lot of my peers have passed away and, no shade to any of the others, but Ted is the one where I most feel like I missed the boat not staying in better touch with him. (Pic of us in Mead Park, from left to right, me, Ted, and Camden). Love Mike.

Ted was my college roommate our freshman year at Fordham. He would occasionally give me a sideways glance, eyebrows furrowed, when someone would say something that we both knew to be incorrect, or simply unintelligent.
He saved me from an undesirable living situation through that simple gaze, and we learned how to speak to each other through nothing more than eye contact.
He always stole my socks. So one day, while he was asleep, I took them off his feet, and faetra and I painted his toenails pink, and then put the socks back on him.
In theater classes you often go barefoot.
At the end of the day we ran into each other in the hall on the way back to our dorm and I looked at him and asked "did we feel pretty today?"
He chased me to the end of the hall and we wrestled jokingly, like true brothers do, and had a good laugh about it.
He never stopped stealing my socks.
We'll see each other again, at the best chili con carnival ever. Scott tenorman
