Dear MARIANNE CSUKONYI TOLDALAGI and Family:
I'm very sorry about such sad news about my friend Zoltan!
I remember our walks all three of us – including Philip Martinez during the lunch time in Gaithersburg.
You must know now my affection for your DAD; Zoltan Csukonyi!
I just received the bad news and suddenly my heart has been touched with feelings and remembrances of many years of working together. It is extraordinary the cry of our spirit we humans, have inside our body....aware now of the painful news.
I did not see Zoltan for many years – 1991 I will say.
For years we have our thoughts and ideas that everything is the way it used to be. As such I remember your father today
Reading the e-mails I read, I got the impression that Zoltan went through a long sickness and I didn’t know anything about.
I’d like to tell you the truth I have an enormous affection for this man which in two occasions, in my years in Bechtel, was my boss...
I was assigned to work under his Supervision in a Job in Italy in the plant for ENEL that was going to be built in Termoli, North and close to the Gargano Peninsula. Nevertheless, for political reasons, the job never took place beyond the Basics - Design Criteria and PSAR.
Then, again in 1977 he was my boss. This time daily, for several years, our work relationship was very active and all of us had achieved success during a very successful Job – Korea Nuclear Units 5 and 6 -
I worked in the Engineering and Construction of the units during 8 years in that project - 4 years with Zoltan and I loved each one of those days and every moment... it was a pleasure to work with a GENTLEMAN, conscientious of human difficulties and efforts!
He was always affective and with enormous sense of friendship and good humor. Always and constantly he was ready to give a "hand" and good advice...
Because of the distance and the years, I found myself with no one in the Zoltan's Family to give my condolences. I learn about you through a common friend – Philip Martinez – he told me your address in Connecticut.
I met Zoltan’s wife Marianne in a wedding in California, many years ago and she was a very lovely lady. Because we were sitting at the same table, we talked quite a bit and talking to her I realized, she was a very Noble Real Lady... Sorry Marianne, I have learned, she is also gone.
I've called you to the number I think is your phone in Connecticut and I’ve received no answer and that is understandable at these moments.
With the affection I have for Zoltan I remember those excellent years of my life.
Your Dad, Mr. Csukonyi was a wonderful man... It was really very fortunate to have him, a great man present, in many moments in my life...
I have extraordinary memories of my long and eventful life in the years working with Zoltan...
Right now I remember … Our walks on the walkway along the Choson Beach, aside from our hotel talking and exchanging ideas.
Those were very cold nights, with snow surrounding our steps and in a different environment. The country was Korea...
I’m sorry for you loss however, God has giving us the time which is available to us to heal our pains…
Please transmit my thoughts and sincere affection to everyone in your Family
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
My best regards!
