Steve and Sharon I don't believe there is anything more difficult to bear than for a parent to lose a child. And while words may not lessen your grief, I do believe that knowing your sorrow is shared by others, even though it can't be as deep as yours, gives some solace at this difficult time. I was deeply saddened by the news about your son. My sincere condolences. John Pashley Marist Class of 1969

I first met Kevin when he was a toddler and on holiday with his family in Ireland. He was a wonderful child and there started in Ireland a lifelong interest in Kevin. His parents are dear friends who have enriched my life with their generous friendship. The Johnsons are a family I am proud to know and this loss of Kevin cannot be more devastating. Kevin grew up knowing the love of his parents which was there for him always, in all circumstances and and he loved his parents for their devotion. We loved Kevin from this side of the Atlantic and watched him grow and develop and face the challenges of growing up. He always greeted us on infrequent visits with his cheerful smile and his warmth shone through and he always welcomed and involved our son Henry. My prayers and thoughts are for Sharon and Stephen who are the most wonderful parents and to the extended family who have lost their nephew and cousin and friend. My thoughts are for you all for the loss of someone as dear as Kevin. May the love of the Lord give peace at this time. In deepest sympathy, Annie

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, I am so deeply sorry and saddened for your loss. Kevin was my best friend in this entire world and a brother to me. Me and kevin always had this indescribable connection with one another. We both loved the same things and had the same outlooks on life. We always felt that we were more than friends. Even on my worst days, when I was unable to cheer up, Kevin was the only person in this world who I could talk to, and he managed to always make everything better. He truly understood me better than anyone I have ever met, and always had a way of helping me make the best of any situation. There was always a magic about kevin, how he was able to lift the spirits of everyone around him simply by being in their presence. He was the best most loving and caring friend anyone could ever ask for. Thank you so much Kevin for all of the incredible memories we were able to create together. I will never stop missing or loving you. These past eight years of my life will never be forgotten. I love you so very much buddy and not a day will pass that I do not think of you. I still feel your presence here with me today. Whenever the sun is shinning bright, I will always know thats you. I feel safe knowing I have you looking over me up there. Rest in peace Kevin, my best friend, my brother. I love you more than words can ever tell
