Paula (Mrs. Ryan) was the best teacher our daughter has had. She brought the best out in Ellie. She set an example of commitment, diligence, compassion and trueness for others and her students. She inspired many with her love of teaching and sharing the gift of education. Prayers to her family and their loss and also the loss to St. Aloysius and her current 5th grade class

I had the pleasure of meeting your mom 3 years ago when my daughter joined St. Aloysius School in 5th grade. She made Emily feel right at home. Paula was such a devoted and inspiring teacher who expected a lot because of her desire to challenge her students and help them meet their potential. She took the time to truly know each student's personality and appreciate their uniqueness. She will be missed.

He will actually swallow up death forever and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. Isaiah 25:8
At this sad time, I pray that Jehovah God will comfort you and your family and help to take away your pain and sorrow.

Dear Scott, Heather and Kate,
Your beautiful Mother became a dear Friend when my Son Chip was fortunate enough to sit behind a desk in her fifth grade classroom at St. Aloysius School (2002-2003). She touched our hearts deeply and left her mark on each one of our lives. I also had the joy of sharing many Emmaus weekends with her and I always looked forward to spending that very special time with together. I loved our chats and loved to catch up on what all three of you were doing … always her most favorite topic !! I know the heartbreak she has lived with since the passing of your Dad ... I hope there is comfort in knowing they are once again together ... theirs was a love to inspire us all. Thank you for sharing your incredible Mother with us ... Chip was blessed to have had her in his life … she taught him far more than lessons from a book … I was blessed with a Friend that no matter how long it was since we last caught up ... we picked right up where we left off. I will miss knowing Paula Ryan is in the world making it a far more beautiful place than it would have otherwise have been. My thoughts and my prayers are with you and your Family during this time of great loss and sadness.
With great love and Friendship,
Michelle, Tony and Chip Granata

Paula represented all that is good about life. She was a great mom who cared deeply about her kids and was so proud of them. She lived her life with class and sincere concern for others. Paula always supported us with real concern, joy and laughter. She was a model Catholic with great faith which she passed on to her friends and beloved students. Paula was a very special Lady. Whether to share a glass of red wine or to come to the Art Room just to say hello, or maybe sneak in and say "ART CONSULT" which meant , Hey good friend, could you bring in your scissors and give me a hair cut during lunch this week? Paula was a true to heart good person. She knew I'd do whatever she needed. We collaborated between subjects many many times. Her laughter will be missed. Her stories about she and Kate "channeling" George will be missed. She is already loved...and missed.

I was stunned to hear of Paula's death by my friends from St. Aloysius School. I taught with Paula for almost 10 years and was always inspired by her passion for the education of her students. I'm certain she and George are together once more and will keep her and all of her family in friends in my prayers in the days and weeks ahead. With deepest sympathy, Susie

To Scott,Heather and Kate; Paula's time with us here was far too short - I will always remember her as a devoted mom, gourmet cook, teacher extraordinaire, and dedicated volunteer - a woman of faith, fortitude, and fun - and now once again wrapped in the arms of her beloved George. Thoughts, prayers and peace to you and yours.
