Obituary of Robert Webb
Robert Marple Webb Jr., 69 a New Canaan resident died suddenly Friday December 16, 2011 in Norwalk Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY March 23, 1942 he was predeceased by his parents, Robert M. and Muriel May Schlosberg Webb Sr.
Bob grew up in Greenwich, attended Brunswick School, Columbia and Boston Universities. After a career in advertising, Bob was self-employed in a Greenwich PakMail from which he recently retired after fifteen years.
Bob is survived by a family he treasured, his sister, Ceia Webb, his wife Susan Scott Webb of New Canaan, two daughters, Liza Webb Snyder and her husband Kurt and their daughter Charlotte of Danbury, CT, Lea Pence and her husband Michael and their children Owen, Ruby and Jane of Menlo Park, CA., one son Geoffrey Sweitzer and his wife Karine and their children, Chloe, Mia and Stella of Rowayton, CT, a number of nieces and nephews and his beloved best friend, Hanna.
A Memorial Celebration of Bob’s life with family and friends will be January 18, 2012 at 4:00pm at Indian Harbor Yacht Club, Greenwich, CT.
