Bruce Warren Regnemer was born on Oct 26,1923 in Stamford, Connecticut. He was the son of Catherine Barthel and Ferdinand Regnemer. He attended Brunswick school. Clark school ,and the University of Vermont where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. During World War II he was assigned to an Engineer Combat battalion as a demolition specialist and later was transferred to Headquarters as the operational photographer and responsible for recording the units engineering installations and its combat actions.Where he remained through the five European campaigns. He was interested in aviation and was an honorary Navy pilot. He was a principle in two local businesses and retired in 1985. A graveside service will be held in Lakeview Cemetery , New Canaan, Ct on Monday December 29, 2008 at 11am . The Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan,CT has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. The Family has suggested contributions maybe made in Mr Regnemer’s name to the American Cancer society or American Lung society.
