Dorothy DeLalla Reddington, age 75 , of Norwalk , CT, formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday morning November 5, 2011 at home surrounded by family and friends. Born in New York City on November 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Letizia D'eraclea DeLalla. Dorothy was the wife of the late Edward J. Reddington. Dorothy enjoyed a long career with GTE in Stamford where she retired as a manager in the insurance and pensions department. Soon after, she volunteered her time with the American Cancer Society. Family, friendship, and faith were always at the center of Dorothy's life. Her strength and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who knew her. In addition to her husband, Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved son, Michael. She is survived by two daughters, Lisabeth Reddington of Wilton, CT and Linda Reddington of New York City. Also surviving are her brother John DeLalla of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, her dear niece, Carol Rittereiser-Coritt of Stamford, CT, her lifelong friend, Sandra Irving of Somers, NY, many loving nieces and nephews, and her loyal companion and grand-dog, Scout. A memorial service will be held at the Congregational Church of New Canaan , 23 Park Street, New Canaan, CT 06840 on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1:30 pm.
