Obituary of Viola Gallo
Viola Gallo, age 82, a lifelong New Canaan resident died Tuesday July 26, 2011 in Stamford Hospital. Born May 23, 1929, in New Canaan, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Concetta Frate Canavino. Viola was the wife of Frank (Bud)Gallo.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Karen Hyde of Torrington, CT, Lori Lawnsby of New Canaan and Sandra Gallo of Danbury, CT and one sister, Ann Kerekes of Seymour, CT.
One grandchild, Danielle Maslar of Monroe and four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Kierten, Christopher, and William also survive.
She was predeceased by five siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday ,July 30, 2011 at St Aloysius Church, Cherry Street, New Canaan, CT at 10:00AM Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan Friday evening from 4 to 8 pm.
