Obituary of Marilyn Taber
Marilyn Thompson Taber, age 88 a New Canaan resident for 48 years, died Thursday June 16, 2011 at home. Born in Louisa, Kentucky September 27, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Ross B. and Cleo Clayton Thompson. She was predeceased by her husband Ross Samuel Taber in 1990.
Mrs. Taber had worked for MBI in Norwalk for over 24 years, retiring in 2002. A graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, W. Virginia, she was a long-time member of St. Mark’s Church in New Canaan, had also been a member of the League of Women Voters, and had been a volunteer at the Pivot Program in Norwalk.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances Allison Taber of Millburn, NJ, a son Keith Stanton Taber, of Goleta, CA, a sister, Elizabeth Ann Bullock of Washington, D.C., a son-in-law Barry Lenson, and one granddaughter Olivia Michele Lenson.
A memorial service will be held at St Marks Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge Road, New Canaan, CT on Saturday June 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
