Stephen J. Meszkat, Jr, age 28, a resident of New Canaan, CT died Friday, May 13, 2011 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Bedford, NY, Stephen attended West School, Saxe Junior High School and New Canaan High School where he was a member of the ski, golf, football and lacrosse teams. He graduated from Salisbury school in Lakeville, CT, where he participated as a member of the ski, crew, and football teams. He went on to St. Lawrence University and graduated from Fairfield University. Stephen was an avid car enthusiast. He was a member of Westchester Country Club. He was an agent and financial consultant at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance in New York City. He is survived by his parents Susie and Steve Sr. and his sister, Dede Meszkat. He is also survived by the Fitzgibbons, Meszkat, Woodall, McDermid, and McKeough families. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 3:00pm – 8:00pm at the Hoyt Funeral Home at 199 Main Street, New Canaan, CT.
