Michael W. Cocchia, age 81, of Norwalk , CT formerly of New Canaan died on Friday evening April 22, 2011 at Milford Hospital. Born In Norwalk, August 18, 1929 he was the son of the late Dominick and Lena Wolfe Cocchia. Michael was predeceased by his wife Anna DeMichael Cocchia. Michael retired from the US Post Office , he worked in the South Norwalk Branch for over 25 years. After retirement he word for the Cocchia Liquor Store in Norwalk. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army. Michael was an avid bowler. He is survived by 2 sons, David S. and his wife Christine of Norwalk And Scott M. and his wife Lina of Milford. And 5 grandchildren also survive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 28, 2011 at 10:00 Am in St Aloysius Church, Cherry Street, New Canaan with Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan.
