Madeline Warren, age 96, a lifelong New Canaan resident died Sunday evening February 27, 2011 at Honey Hill Care Center, Norwalk. Born in Stamford, December 5, 1914. She was the daughter of the late James and Sarah George Warren. She had spent most of her life working for local New Canaan families. She was a former member of the Union Baptist Church, Stamford and the Community Baptist Church of New Canaan. Survivors include her sister Corine Warren Lipscomb of New Canaan, and many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family living in Connecticut , Virginia, California, Massachusetts, Florida, and North Carolina. She is pre-deceased by a sister Lillian L. Harrison and a niece Madeleine Lipscomb McKinney. A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 5, 2011 at 9:30 Am in the Community Baptist Church, 174 Cherry Street, New Canaan Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan. Friends may call at the church one half hour prior to the service.
