Obituary of Irene Pantaleo
Irene Audrey Pantaleo, 85, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Norwalk Hospital.
Born July 19, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Theodore & Margaret Flanagan Erickson.
Irene was a long term resident of the Broad River Home in Norwalk. She was employed at the residence and served two terms as President of the Broad River Resident’s Association.
She is survived by her three children, Peter Pantaleo of Old Bridge, NJ, Walter Pantaleo of Staten Island, NY and Donna Murphy of Wilton, CT, her brother, Theodore Erickson of Kissimee, FL, her sister, Ethel Dawson of Manchester, NJ, her grandchildren, Walter, Christopher, Carmine, Michael, Adam, Dannine, Taryn, Jimmy and Matthew. Two great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, Irene was predeceased by her grandson, Henry Peter Pantaleo
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St. New Canaan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Irene Pantaleo’s name to the Broad River Homes, 108 New Canaan Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850-2630, 203-846-3700.
