Obituary of Catherine Buonaiuto
Catherine I. Buonaiuto , 90, a lifelong resident of New Canaan, passed away peacefully at Waveny Care Center on Tuesday evening, Nov. 6, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Catherine was born on March 25, 1928 in New Canaan; she was the daughter of Patsy and Antoinette Annunziata Buonaiuto.
Catherine graduated from New Canaan High School, and worked as an Executive at Bunker Ramo Corporation in Trumbull for many years. She belonged to the Catholic Daughters Court 74 and was an avid supporter of UCONN Women’s basketball.
Catherine is survived by her sister-in-law Beverly A. Buonaiuto, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nieces.
Catherine is predeceased by her brothers Patsy and Val Buonaiuto.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday 10:00 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 21 Cherry St, New Canaan, CT 06840. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien, CT. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hoyt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 199 Main Street, New Canaan, CT 06840.
