J. Timothy Kelly
J. Timothy Kelly, 63, a resident of New Canaan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on November 5, 2018 after a well‑fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Tim was born on September 7, 1955 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late John Leslie and Georgia Mae Vickman Kelly.
He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Denver, Colorado in 1982 and, after spending 29 years as a Tax Consultant in its New York City office, retired as a partner in 2016.
Tim was a prolific antique car collector and a member of numerous antique car clubs. He had a unique passion for recreating history and thoroughly loved driving his cars around New Canaan and in car tours throughout the United States and abroad.
Tim is survived by his loving wife Joan of New Canaan, CT, sons: Jeffrey (Laura) of Hopewell Junction, NY, Gregory (Whitney) of Denver, CO, three grandchildren: Jennifer, Jessica, and Bridget, and his sister Maureen (Don) Crane. He will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, and his dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 30, at 12:00 p.m., at Woodway Country Club, 540 Hoyt. St., Darien, CT 06820. Friends and family are welcome, kindly email the family at TimothyKellyMemorial@gmail.com if you plan to attend.
