Willard B. Seymour, age 87, of New Canaan, CT died Saturday evening November 9, 2013 at Greenwich Woods Health Care Center. Born in Chattanooga, TN April 13, 1926 and living most of his life in Pound Ridge, NY he was the son of the late Samuel and Marjorie Scofield Seymour. Willard was a WW2 US Navy Veteran, working most of his life in the Auto Body repair business. He was a member of the New Canaan VFW and the Coast Guard Auxiliary Bill loved his family, friends and his dog friends. Bill’s hobbies were metal detecting, local history, antiques and restoring cars. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Willard is survived by four children, Jeffrey Seymour of Pound Ridge, NY, Willard B Seymour, Jr. of Honesdale, PA, Gunnar Wheeler of Dover Plains, NY and his daughter, Joanne Halligan of South Salem, NY. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a brother Dorin Seymour of NYC. A funeral Service will be held on Wednesday , November 13, 2013 at 11:00 Am in the Hoyt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 199 Main Street, New Canaan, CT 06840 Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 PM.
