Shirlee A. Sapione, 70, a resident of Norwalk for over 18 years died peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of William J. Sapione. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on June 24, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd J. Bingham and Dorothy Crable Bingham. When Shirlee was in her late teens, she survived a horrific car accident that set her on a journey of healing, which developed into a passion of healing others. This spanned over 30 years and included working as a healthcare professional in movement therapy and as a personal trainer. Shirlee made her work available to everyone through online video training programs. In addition to her husband, Shirlee is survived by her son Billy (Emily)Sapione of Darien and daughters ,Susan(Roberto) Pablos of Zurich, Switzerland and Amy (Michael)DeVito of New Canaan. She is also survived by her sister Deborah Liechty of Indiana and 8 grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday April 20, 2018 at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan at 11AM. The family will receive friends at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St. New Canaan on Thursday from 4-8.
