Sean was so dynamic and such a great conversationalist. We had in-depth conversations about poets and plays when he was in his late 80s.

Jack (Sean) Sullivan was to me a truly amazing relative. His creativity and success were an inspiration to me growing up. His experiences in World War II were also an inspiration, and his stories of family history were not only extremely informative, but also immensely entertaining. I will miss him.

Sean was a dear, kind friend to me when I lived in Abingdon. A regular visitor and supporter of the Arts Depot, Sean shared encouragement freely. His hearty laugh and kind words will be missed. His friendship was a blessing to me.

I think of Sean with a smile and how I loved hearing him read his poems, tell wonderful stories interspersed with booming laughter, discuss the latest news with an angle I hadn't thought of. He was so special and dear to me and I will miss him.

Sorry to hear the news of your dad. So many great memories. He was a very unique, charming, smart, funny, kind individual who made an impression on my life. The world is a better place because of him. I will always remember him, and his family, fondly.

I am so sorry to hear this. I worked at the Ritz Camera in Abingdon, VA and Mr Sullivan was one of my favorite regulars. I thought of him often after the stores closing and actually thought I saw him the other day but knew it couldn't be or I would have heard the familiar "Debbie", said in a way only he could. I will remember him fondly and my thoughts are with his family and many friends. Rest in Peace, John AKA Sean
