Obituary of Arthur Johnson
Arthur J. Johnson, 86, of New Canaan, CT, passed away on April 13, 2017. Arthur was born on April 16, 1930 in Bronx, New York to the late Arthur J. and Nora McCullough Johnson.
Arthur was a Jasper, having graduated from Manhattan College with a business degree in 1951. He then worked at NBC for 30+ years, mostly in affiliate sales and services.
Arthur, affectionately known by many as "the Colonel", started in the Army reserves and retired as a Colonel, Field Artillery, on April 16, 1990.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 33 years, Winifred Johnson and his 4 children, Ellen Tidd (John); Patricia Teske (Chris); Kathleen Johnson; and Arthur Johnson.
Arthur loved his 6 grandchildren dearly: Betsy Tidd; Andrew Tidd; Katherine Teske; Maggie Teske; Scott Teske; and Artie Johnson.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Wiltwyck Cemetery in Kingston, NY
