My condolences to your family. I was a student at Weston Middle School in the early 1970s. For a period I was hospitalized and Mr. White, as I knew him, sent me a report card for my dog, Cindy. He gave Cindy an A for being a lovely dog and noted her recent absences due to my being out of school. This would not have happened if it were not for the fact that Mr. White actually allowed my dog to come into the school He spoke of his love for dogs and his heartbreak at losing one. After returned to school I was allowed to continue to have my dog come with me. Most teachers cooperated and allowed Cindy to lie by my side in class. None of this would have happened without Mr. White's approval and generous heart. It was, without a doubt, one of the kindest things anyone ever did for me. I will never forget it.
