Dearest Bickley Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I will always remember living next door to you on West Road, in that wonderful magical barn/house. (Mostly those Halloweens) Your family was/is exotic beyond. Sherri's wedding. My father and mother both loved and admired you and your family, dear Tanya. Travel your next world with excitement and joy. Much love Catherine Leuthold

You probably do not remember me, but from 1965 to 1970 I was organist-choir director at the Congregational Church. In fact I was organist for Sheri's wedding. As I look back on these few brief years in New Canaan, I count them as some of the happiest of my lfe, in part for the warm memories I have of the Bickley family. Tanya, Sheri and their parents were so wonderful to me. I remember with much pleasure the many parties at their beautiful home as well as the small, intimate dinner parties, usually with music or games afterwards. Please know that after all of these years, my thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with you.

Tanya Bickley: one of the smartest, wisest, kindest people I've ever met; she knew how to bring out the best in everyone she met, even while facing ALS over the past year. She worked to keep Town Hall honest, keep Waveny a park, and keep people everywhere open to the wonderful possibilities beyond knee-jerk business as usual. Her letters to the Advertiser, if ever assembled together, would read like the wise, thoughtful conscience of New Canaan. I miss her.

Dearest Sheri I wish I could have been there to comfort and hold your dear sister,Tanya's hand. That morning I had been in church, and when the prayers were offered up,I wrote to you and Tanya peace and love for the journey,in her battle with ALS.When I returned I got the very sad news. She was a blessed soul and someone I will always remember with her lilting laugh, and loud pronouncement that I was the Russian Princess! So many memories over the years. What a great spirit, faithful and wise soul, devoted friend, sister, aunt, and loyal friend.Peace to Tanya now as she is an angel who no longer is encumbered in her earthly body. Sheri, if my family can be of support in any way to you, please please reach out. All of our love as we wrap our arms around you and your children for comfort.Tanya was pure love. So,with love, Serena and Jeff Adam,Allison,Toby,Patricia, and Felicia
