Obituary of Janet LeBlanc

Janet LeBlanc, age 86, lifelong resident of New Canaan passed away Tuesday evening January 17, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Norwalk, December 8, 1930 she was daughter of the late Richard and Mamie Sinclair Sirois. She was the widow of Alton LeBlanc Sr, who passed away in 2010. She was raised in Glace Bay Nova Scotia. Janet loved to dance, on many occasion she and Alton would clear the floor dancing a polka. She loved classic country music,the rat pack, and old Hollywood. Family fun and food were her passion. Janet ran a successful catering business, serving New Canaan, lower Fairfield and Westchester County. Her unconditional love, kindness and sparkling blue eyes will be missed by many. Janet is survived by a son, Brian LeBlanc ( Gretchen) of Norwalk., two daughters, Charlotte Merritt of Norwalk and Ruth LeBlanc-Jones ( Burton) of New Canaan. One sister, Dolly Saccary of Canada, a brother Alan Sirois of Norwalk, and her brother-in-law Roma LeBlanc. Her grandchildren, Jennifer, Patrick Le Blanc, Burton (Bj) Adam, Stephanie Jones, James and Kimberly Merritt, great grandchildren Richard (RJ) Beladino, Brian and Jack Le Blanc. In addition to her, she was predeceased by her son Alton and her brother Richard and grandson Chipper Brian LeBlanc and her son-in-law James Merritt. A funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 21, 2017 at 10:00AM at the United Methodist Church, South Avenue, New Canaan.
