Jean B. Martin age 85, of Stamford, CT died on Sunday March 28, 2010 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. She was predeceased by her husband Richard W. Martin. Born in Stamford, CT May 14, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ida Davidson Brown. Jean grew up in New Canaan and graduated from New Canaan High School Class of 1941. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family, fishing in Maine and golfing as a member of the Shore Haven Golf Club. She spent her retirement years at Heritage Village in Southbury, CT. She is survived by her son, Richard W. Martin II and his wife Linda, of Oxford, CT her daughter, Robin Davey, of Stamford with whom she most recently lived, and three grandchildren, Travis Martin, Kayla Martin, and Richard Davey as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Eleanor Weed. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan, CT Interment will be private.
