Obituary of Patricia Kapp
Patricia I. Kapp, age 63 of Ridgefield, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Herbert and Maxine Ilgren of Wynnewood, PA.
Pat was a gifted artist and pursued a career in art. After graduating Lower Merion High School, Pat attended Alfred University and travelled Europe for two years following her desires and studies of Art. After returning to the United States she completed her education at the Moore College of Art and Goddard College where she graduated with a M.A. degree in Art Therapy. Following many years helping people as a therapist, Pat moved to Connecticut and transitioned her career to the Graphic Arts where she worked for corporate giants Bell Atlantic Mobile and NYNEX before her retirement in 1996.
Pat loved to draw and paint and has left behind much of her talented works. She also loved gardening and taking long walks with her friends. We will never forget the friendships she made and the people who shared her life. We are eternally grateful for the doctors, nurses and friends who helped Pat through these last most difficult years. Her greatest love was for her family and especially her two children who she devoted her every minute to their guidance and nurturing until her death.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 27 years William K. Kapp, and her two children Daniel and Whitney Kapp of Ridgefield, her sister Barbara Russell and husband Cal of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, her sister Nancy Schluter and husband Bill of Wilmington, Delaware, her brother Dr. Edward Ilgren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
