Obituary of Doris Renken
Mrs. Doris (Ellis) Renken, 85, of Stamford, formerly of New Canaan, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Edgehill Assisted Living in Stamford. She was the widow of Ralph Renken.
Doris was born in Arkport, New York on March 23, 1931, daughter of the late Loren and Helen (Ellis Miller) Renken. She was an Executive Assistant at Kodak Manufacturing in Rochester, New York for many years. She was an active member of PEO and of several churches in New Canaan including: Grace Church, the Congregational Church and United Methodist Church. Doris liked to dance, sing, arrange flowers, and entertain. She had a strong sense of humor and character.
Doris is survived by her two daughters, Anne Renken of Fairfield and Lynn Renken currently in Nairobi, Kenya, her two grandchildren, and her sister, Virginia Michalski of Agawam, Mass.
