Obituary of Anne Szelag
Anne Niemiec Szelag, 98, of Wilton, CT, formerly of New Canaan, CT , Marlton, NJ and Carteret, NJ passed away at her home with her loving family by her side. Anne was born on April 9, 1917 in Carteret, NJ to the late John and Mary Magace.
Anne was educated in Carteret, and attended Rutgers University for additional education in her chosen profession. Anne was Borough Clerk of Carteret for many years before retiring at age 70 in 1987. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew John Niemiec and her second husband, John Robert Szelag.
Anne is survived by her two daughters, Dale Mushkin, of Naples, FL and Andrea Schmidt, of Frisco, North Carolina and their husbands. Anne is also survived by five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
