Lucia M. Cullinan, 82, of Beacon, New York, formerly of Vista, NY, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Norwalk Hospital with her loving family by her side. Lucia was born in Stamford on June 8, 1933, daughter of the late Nicola and Donata (Samela) Tarzia. She had worked as a secretary for Arlington Public Schools in New York. She loved sewing, cooking and taking trips to the casino with her closest friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching movies, playing cards and talking with them for hours. Lucia is survived by three sons, Michael Cullinan and his wife Cathy of Plainsboro, NJ, Joseph Cullinan of Vershire, VT and Nick Cullinan and his wife Katie of Bethel; two daughters, Margaret Cullinan-Hill and Maria Naughton and her husband Bob, all of New Canaan; two brothers, Joseph and Michael Tarzia; a sister, Sarah Lorenti and nine grandchildren who she cherished. She was predeceased by five brothers, Domenick, Lawrence, Pasquale, Bruno and Nick Tarzia and a sister Margherita Bocuzzi. Funeral services will take place at 10:00am on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan, CT 06840. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
