Obituary of Lisa St. John
Lisa Polhemus St. John died at her home in Redding, Connecticut on July 30, 2013, surrounded by her children. She was 90. Born in New York City to Henry M. and Lisa Polhemus, she graduated from The Chapin School Class of 1941. Wife of Fordyce Barker St. John, Jr., who predeceased her, she and her family moved to New Canaan, CT in 1964. She was a lifelong summer resident of Sagaponack, Long Island and a member of the Bridgehampton Club since 1947.
Mrs. St. John was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. An avid animal lover, she raised and showed German Shepherd dogs. She is survived by three children and two children-in-law: John and Megan St. John, Susan St. John, Elizabeth and Chris Abelt; two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
