Obituary of Anne Bruhn

Anne F. Bruhn, 75, a 35 year resident of New Canaan, died Monday, January 11, 2010, at Stamford Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born January 23, 1934, in Evanston, IL, she was the daughter of the late William A. Fuller and Eudora Yates Fuller. Anne rejoiced in her family, faith and friends. Her happiest days throughout her life were spent at the family cottage and with local friends in Westport, ONT, Canada. She produced a number of musical reviews as fundraisers for St. Norberts Church in Northbrook, IL. She also worked on New Canaan Nature Center committees and produced heritage ornaments for the Nature Center in years past. Gardening and birding were special joys. She is survived by her husband, Erich W. Bruhn of New Canaan, her daughter, Heidi A. Trocha of Hawthorn Woods, IL, her three sons, Erich W. Bruhn of Winchester, VA, Chris P. Bruhn of N. Granby, CT, and Michael K. Bruhn of Upper Nyack, NY, two sisters, Millicent Donahue of Wilmette, IL and Joni Miller of Fontana, WI, 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her older brother, William A. Fuller, older sister, Nancy E. Fuller, and granddaughter, Delaney N. Bruhn. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan at 12:30 pm, and will be followed by a reception. Interment will be private at a later date.
