Obituary of Triestina D'Amario
Triestina A. D’Amario, age 81, a New Canaan resident for over 45 years died Monday, April 20, 2015 at Norwalk Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Settefrati, Italy, March 11, 1934, she was the daughter of Michael and Carmela Vitti Socci. Triestina was the wife of the late Romeo D’Amario and is survived by two sons, Renato D’Amario of Denver, Colorado; and Oliver D’Amario of Fairfield, CT; two daughters, Franca Masi and her husband Joseph of Fishkill, NY and Maria DiSilvio and her husband Robert of Kirkland, WA; and one brother Dominic Socci of Florida.
In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren: Anthony D’Amario, Christine DiSilvio, Tina Masi, Christopher Masi, Jamie MacFarland, Heather Zambarda, Danielle DeVore,and four great-grandchildren, Michael MacFarland, Hunter DeVore, Gabriel Zambarda and Annalie MacFarland.
Triestina also leaves behind two very special friends, Amalia Palladino and Assunta DiFulvio.
Triestina was also pre-deceased by a brother Carmine Socci and a sister Loreta Frattaroli.
Triestina was a faithful member in The Daughters of Charity group.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 24th at 10:00 am at St. Aloysius Church, Cherry Street, New Canaan, CT. Entombment will be in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. The family will receive friends at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan, CT on Thursday evening from 4 to 8 PM.
