Obituary of Lorrine Stair
Loving wife and mother Lorrine Stair of New Canaan, CT passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born in Chicago, IL on October 12, 1934. Her parents were the late Hildegard and Lorin Huck. She moved to San Marino, CA as a teen and attended High School there before attending Whittier College. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in History from San Jose State University in 1963. Following assignments in San Jose, CA and Paris, France, she and her husband moved to New Canaan, CT in 1984 where she was long associated with the New Canaan Historical Society.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Henry, known as Pete, and her sister, Laverne Walton of Modesto, CA. Although her eldest daughter Sharon predeceased her, she is also survived by three children, a son Craig Stair of Houston, TX, and two daughters, Diane Stair and Carol Stair, both of San Francisco, CA.
