Lydia V. Batterson, age 63, a longtime resident of Norwalk died December 7, 2009 at Norwalk Hospital. Born August 11, 1946 in the Bronx, NY., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ethel V. Whitehurst Carlson. Lydia is the wife of Robert A. Batterson. Lydia was a homemaker and an avid gardener. In addition to her husband, Lydia is survived by daughters, Lydia Brennan, of Norwalk, CT and Amy Carrier, of N. Walpole, NH; sons, Matthew J. Batterson, of Bridgeport, CT and Neil Batterson, of Kalispell, Montana; and five grandchildren: Christian, William, Brandi, Dillon and Kassidy. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 9th from 4-8 pm at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan, CT Interment will be private.
