Barbara, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. We knew each other years ago (and played tennis - you're much better than me) but I don't think I ever met your daughter, and I remember running into you at the Y about 4 weeks ago and we talked about our kids. May you find comfort in memories of all that she contributed to the world: her beauty, linguistic and artistic talent, love of humanity, and desire to help people by wanting to become a nurse. This has to be a very difficult time (I know as I lost my mother earlier this year), esp. losing someone so young. Please feel free to reach out to me and call.

My heart breaks for your family and I wanted to send you my condolences and wishes for peace in this terrible time. I believe that Lindsey's death was not in vain. Many difficult conversations about depression and treatment are taking place in families all over CT bc of her. Who knows how many others she may have saved? As someone said, all of Fairfield County is mourning with you. I am tremendously sorry that it was your lovely Lindsey. Peace be with you. --a mother in Westport

I grew up in Stamford, not far from New Canaan, and in 2013 I lost my 26-year-old son under similar circumstances. I thought I would die from the pain. I have survived by focusing on life's gifts, including whatever wisdom I gained from the loss. God bless you, Barbara and Haigh. All of Fairfield County mourns with you.

Barbara, Words can not describe the sorrow we felt when hearing this tragic news. We are so saddened and sorry that you and your family have to go through this pain. Depression is a disease that most do not understand. It is prevalent in my family and many others. I hope that Lindsey's memory may help others to see and recognize the severity of this illness. We know she is at peace and in a better place. You and Lindsey are in our hearts and prayers. Please know that we are here for you. God bless you.

Lindsey is at home with the Lord. I have never met her, but am a good friend of her mom Barbara and I know that Barbara's spirit must have been transferred to Lindsey. Barbara said she loved music, painting and yoga and was a family person and was a beautiful soul. May God bless and keep you Lindsey and may God bless you Barabara at this difficult time. Love you xo

I didn't know you, but I grew up in nearby Wilton and frequented the Stamford Mall. A friend of mine, 28 years ago, was very depressed and talked about jumping from the top of the mall, but didn't. I wish I was there to stop you. I am very, very sorry that life was so painful for you. Depression is a nasty illness. I'm sorry, I don't know what else to say. You touched a lot of people, even those that didn't know you. I hope you are at peace, Lindsey.

I know that if you were still here you'd find me writing in here pretty morbid and you'd probably like it and be investigating this whole situation as well. I know it's been years since we last spoke, and I know that was my fault but I hope you knew and always knew how thankful I was for having you as my best friend for a period of them when I was so lost in life...when we both were. We spoke of our depression, our minds that just wouldn't stop, and the day I found out it was you who passed away I broke and I collapsed and cried. In that moment it destroyed me to know the pain never stopped for you and this is how it all ended. You were the only one of your kind and you knew it, nobody existed like you. You were always in your own world and it was really beautiful there. I promise if I ever meet Courtney Love I will tell her of your existence. Rest peacefully sweetheart, you will never be forgotten.
