James Shipman Obituary

James Hudson Shipman died on November 4,2009 at Greenwich Hospital after a short illness preceeded by a two decade battle with Parkinson's Disease. He is survived by a brother,John W. Shipman of Columbus,Ohio and a sister,Ellen S. Aiello,of Austin,Texas,many nieces and nephews,grandnieces and grandnephews.

Jim was graduated from New Canaan High School,Class of "62 and spent his adult life working in Stamford,Ct. lastly employed by Yacht Haven. After his Parkinson's diagnosis,Jim spent many years in assisted living and nursing facilities,residing until his death at Nathaniel Witherell in Greenwich,Ct.

There will be a graveside service in Delaware,Ohio where Jim will be buried with his parents and sister. He will finally be a "Buckeye" after being a life- long Ohio State fan.
