Dear Ferrantes, we are so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Georgette was funny, generous, kind, welcoming to all who visited, and oh-so-smart. Such wonderful memories of times spent together and the joy she always engendered when we were fortunate enough to see her again later in life.

My deepest condolences. I remember vividly "talking horses" with your Mom, and dinners at your home being absolutely wonderful. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Ferrante family,
I was very sorry to read of your mother in a particular section of the Town Topics, a section many of us began reading so many years ago while dreading to open those pages - - though I was so glad to see her face again in the photo you chose. Just having read Barbara Blair's submission I know I don't have nearly the frequency of times with you yet the indelible memory just the same of the parties, the night-damp grass to run across in the Summers while hearing everyone else's shouts and most of all how welcome, yes, we all always were in the kitchen to visit with your mother, no matter how numerous we were. And we were always very large in number, whenever there was a party at either your house or at the Blairs.
I think of all of you in those days: Cathy at work at Bon Appétit with my sister Eleanor and me; Francesca on the hockey field at Stuart or on the unicycle racing around Stuart's driveway, or the crowd of you being driven to school in the mornings by Giaff in the gigantic whatever-it-was, faces of Blairs and Ferrantes and Jamie Paterson at the windows. I hold such a fondness for you all then and for you all now.
With best wishes for your togetherness in this time,
~ Caryl Kuser

Dear Ferrante's one and all,
I am sending my deepest sympathies. I cannot recount the many hours I spent at your fantastic home on that Kingston property. The gym, the farm and cows and hayloft. It was such a free place to be and your mom was so warm and welcoming always. I remember your lederhosen early in the morning on the bus (gentlemen), I remember hours on the phone with the cord dragged into the closet for privacy. I remember your dad telling Francesca onetime "you have been on the phone long enough...tell her you have nothing more to say and hang-up." I also remember perfectly combed hair for dinner, jackets, and turtle soup (which I was not thrilled about) But I was thrilled about those huge hunks of chocolate the Ferrante's always had that we would break up and eat with bread and butter. And the highlight of every Halloween was wondering what crazy homemade costumes you would all show up in (but I was not so thrilled that your family gave out apples instead of candy).
Many memories of your family, your beloved mom and our many adventures together.
Sending you my very warm wishes. Your family had a large role in our family.
With Love,
Barbara Blair

Georgette was a beautiful person, one we had the honor of knowing. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone around her deeply. We have wonderful memories of her and how her smile lit the room. Our heartfelt thoughts are with her family, wishing them comfort and peace during this time. All our love, Daphne, Henry, Sabrina and Anthony Sampson
