Blessings to Ann and her much loved family. Ann was a wonderful partner and companion to my late father George Herhold. My dad loved having Ann in his life! She brought so much love and light to his life...and they shared many interests and happy times. They travelled together to interesting places...and also enjoyed simple day to day things...dinners at one of their homes, or at favorite go-to restaurants (Uncle Joe's & The Roger Sherman were among some favorites). They enjoyed socializing with mutual friends, and keeping an eye on each other. After a shared dinner at home in New Canaan, my dad would ask Ann to call him when she got home ... and sure enough after her 15 minute drive back she'd call reassuring him she was home safe and sound... & he'd do the same for her. They had each other's back and supported each others plans...and I know it meant a lot to both of them. I was raising 2 little kids...and Ann was a great friend to me, understanding the demands put on a mother. She was very generous with my children, always knowing how to make them feel welcome. She loved her family so much, and that was wonderful to experience. She was smart and funny, and a little tough...you don't raise 5 kids being a push over! She was passionate about her perspective and did not hesitate to debate our differences with intelligence. I am grateful she was in my Dad's life...and my own. Best regards, Laura Herhold

I'm sorry for your loss. I got to know Ann through Stay at Home in Wilton during my visits to her home to help with small repairs and tasks. What I enjoyed the most was talking with her and getting to know her and learn about her family. She was so awesome, very upbeat and I will miss her. Please take care.
