Grace M. Bonarrigo, age 90, of New Canaan, CT and Tucson, AZ died Tuesday September 2, 2014 in Brookdale of Wilton, with her loving family by her side. Born in Clearfield, PA , June 5, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Colose Calapa. Grace was the wife of the late Domenick Bonarrigo who died in 2000. While living in New York for 31 years with her husband, she was a member of the Columbiettes, an organization of Catholic women, doing philanthropic work in the community. She was an avid bowler who participated in various bowling leagues. After retiring to Tucson in 1976, she was a member of the Italian American Club of Tucson and supported various church activities in her parish. Grace returned to the east coast and moved to New Canaan in 2005 to be close to her family. She was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan. Grace is survived by her son Domenick and his wife Christine of New Canaan, CT and her three grandchildren, John of White Plains; Michael of Norwalk; and Lisa of NYC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday Sept. 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Aloysius Church, Cherry St, New Canaan, CT. Interment will be in Tucson AZ.
