I am saddened to hear about the passing of JP. I don't know if I would be the same person I am today, without her guidance and support throughout my upbringing in New Canaan. She introduced me to the concept of therapy at a young age and helped create a safe space for me to open up and work through the many difficulties I faced. She inspired me to get my Masters in Social Work and I hope to be just like her one day.

I honestly don't know where to start when it comes to how JP has affected not only my life, but also my family's. My mom remarried when I was seven years old and the transition of everyone getting along was rocky to say the least. Some time later, my mother, (step-)father, twin brother, and myself ended up in her office. From then on, there were group sessions, seeing parts of the family in pairs, to individual sessions between myself and JP. JP saw me grow up as much as my own family did, helping me through mental health issues, relationship trouble, anger issues, and so on. If it wasn't for JP, I don't know where I would have ended up in life as she did so much for me in terms of support in a non-judgmental zone.
Upon receiving that text message in mid-February, I finally realized to look her up and see if something happened. This is because today was my last day of my Master's program at the University at Buffalo. The one thing JP always made sure I was doing well in was my studies and for her to know that I made it through would have meant so much to her. She was my therapist on and off for over 20 years. I have so much to thank her for and I hope she sees this one way or another.

My husband and I met JP in 2009 when we traveled to Connecticut to begin our studies in Energy Medicine. Over the next few years we spent so many fun and memorable times with JP and her loving husband, Harv. She was a valued friend and fellow healer. May you continue to shed your bright light, JP.

It was probably 25 years ago that my husband heard of JP as a potential therapist for us. One visit was all it took to know that she was the right one for us! She opened us to so many different methods of getting past blockages: tapping, EMDR and other energy based techniques. But, although she always strove to learn new things, it wasn’t just her knowledge that was key to her being outstanding at what she did for us. JP was always present to each person she was working with. She never brought her own drama into her office. She had an unbelievable memory for your details even if you hadn’t been for a session in years. She could listen to your ramblings and figure out the core issue with such clarity! JP played a significant part in my life as well as my husband’s. She helped us grow and learn in ways we never expected when we sought her out so many years ago. We are sad to hear that she has left this world but we know that she helped make it a better place.
