David, Joann, and Nancy......So very sorry to read about the loss of your Mother. Reading brings back so many memories from Town North YMCA swimming days, to Greenhill days, to play days and beyond. Your Mother was such an inspiration to myself as well as many others. She lived a long accomplished life and has left a strong legacy. May all the wonderful memories of her fill your hearts with strength, comfort, and love now and always. It was an honor to have shared her life path. Kimi Morris Martin

I played Field Hockey with Joanne and coached by "Coach" Powell. Will never forget the out-of-town tournament where me and my roommate over slept and were late for breakfast. It was the early 70s, I had long red hair and she had wavy long blonde hair. Coach frantically was looking for "the Hair" then sent someone to knock on the door. She was kind enough to let us eat our breakfast. The world is dimmer without her. Rest in peace, Penny. Know that we love you.

Penny’s passing has left a hole in my life. We walked our dogs together each morning for over 12 years. She was loyal and giving. She was a dear, dear friend. I will greatly miss her.

I was so saddened to hear of Penny's passing. I played tennis with her for several years- in 2 different groups- at Vista, until those groups fell apart. She was a fierce competitor while so much fun on the court. A rare combination. We always joked at how we were probably related, my grandmother's name was Prendergast, & I still think we were! Sending deepest condolences to her family & I will always keep my memories of her in my heart.
