Maureen was a dear friend and an inspiring woman who faced aging with determination, optimism, and bravery. I will miss her sparkling wit and informed commentaries. Maureen approached life with passion and caring, warm affection for friends, and generosity of spirit.

My Mother was a great teacher of her children. One of the things she taught was who to honor. Mrs. Curry was one of them. Somehow I got it, perhaps because I realized whenever I saw her that she thought I was worthy of her attention. Now I know that this characterizes all noble Christians. She was that, a noble Christian lady. RIP.

Maureen and I first met at Talbots clothing store years ago. Her petite figure and sense of style always made her standout. I looked forward to and depended on her judgement when shopping. So years later when my husband and I moved to Edgewater, I was thrilled to discover she was our neighbor. Be it fashion, garden or world affairs- conversations with Maureen were always enlightening. My husband and I loved her very much. So to Maggie, your siblings, nieces and nephews, we send our heartfelt sympathy- she will be missed,

Maureen was one of the friendliest and kindest person I had met in New Canaan. I do not know how she kept up with all she was involved with but her love of life and family was palpable. We all will miss this person, and her special zest for life!
Our condolences to the family. Prayers for Maureen!

Dearest Curry family. Mrs. Curry (we didn’t use first names for parents back in the day) was always a kind, good natured, mother to all who passed through the barn. Her hearty laugh and quick wit were unmatched. Her generosity of spirit and no nonsense advice steered many in the right direction. She was a fabulous hostess and any event at the Curry home was a grand affair. She could remain calm with 15 kids running around the house and always had a cold coke hidden for me when my dad and I would drop in to visit. At Christmas the “Curry sled” would pull into the driveway and we would hold our breath waiting to see what magnificent goodies awaited. The Curry’s are forever an integral part of my youth. We host a Christmas party every year and I have told my family that I went to an open house each year at the Curry’s house and I want to replicate that feeling for my family and friends.
Go with God Mrs, Curry. My condolences the grand Curry clan.

Mrs. Curry had a special gleam in her eye that one knew was that of a wonderful person. Our time together was very short but enjoyed each and every visit. She was so proud of her entire family and loved you all so very much. When we 1st met it was right after the New Year and she was working hard to write ALL the birthdays in the new calendar. She was precious.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of her care.
My deepest sympathies to all the family and friends of Mrs. Curry.

Our sympathies to the Curry family. Maureen was always kind and had so much history to offer. I will personally miss her laugh and seeing her on many occasions taking a daily stroll on Hope St into town. Edgewater will not be the same without her.
